THE FOURTH ANNUAL "BE MY FLORENTINE FOREST CABARET"

Saturday 13th Feb - Sunday 14th Feb
At Camp Florentine, Gordon River rd Upper Florentine Valley, 21kms past
Maydena.
Still Wild Still Threatened presents the fourth annual Be My Florentine
Forest Cabaret Festival this weekend in the Upper Florentine forest at the
Camp Florentine forest blockade. A weekend of live cabaret acts, burlesque
and circus performers, live music, DJ's, food and forest walks.
The Cabaret show begins at 7pm on Saturday night with live cabaret
performances from:
The Diamonds of Burlesque, Flip Out Circus, Forest Nymphettes, King of the
Jungle, Belly dancers, Steph Harris
from Stop It I Love It, The Muddy Turds, Drive West Today and stomping blues
act The Middletones. The Cabaret
will also feature the infamous Be My Florentine Beauty Pageant and the
Inaugural Florentine Forest Air Guitar
Competition followed by DJ's Fade in Fade out and Rocksteady Eddy
Sunday from 11am-5pm will feature live music acts from:
George Bishop (feel good reggae grooves), Calypso, Pchi, Jacob Booth, Maddie
Irwin, The Merlot Maggots and a
swag of others.
Cost: A very reasonable $10 donation, all money going to the campaign to
protect the Upper Florentine.
Plenty of rainforest camp sites available, The Bush Kitchen will be serving
meals and guided forest walks will also be available throughout Sunday.
Entertainment starts 7pm Saturday, be early to get the best camp sites.
