Conservationist Charged with Trespass in Tasmania’s Southern Forests





“A conservationist was this afternoon arrested after spending the day
perched in a tripod, protesting about the clear fell logging of world
heritage bordering forest,” Huon Valley Environment Centre’s Jenny Weber
said.



“Deforestation and regeneration burns are destructive climate changing
practices that threaten high conservation value forest.  With these ongoing
logging practices Tasmania is loosing world heritage quality forests at a
rapid rate,” Jenny Weber said.
